Chiropractor

I grew up rurally in Whangarei, spending most of my teenage years horsing around which inevitably leads to falls and injuries. My first experience with a chiropractor came after one of these falls, and I couldn’t believe how much better I felt and could function! It was only a matter of time before I enrolled to study Chiropractic.
I graduated from New Zealand College of Chiropractic in 2014 with the Academic Excellence award and the Business Award. After graduating, I worked in Wellington for a couple of years then moved back to Whangarei with my husband, where I opened Tui Chiropractic in 2017.
I have two small children so I balance my time between work and looking after my family. We have 10 acres in Maungatapere with a couple of horses and some cows, and love the Northland lifestyle with family nearby and plenty of beaches.
I am passionate about helping improve people’s quality of life, naturally. I love adjusting people of all ages and have completed many different post-graduates courses so that I have plenty of different tools in my toolbox to suit different people!

Chiropractor

I grew up in a close-knit community on the West Coast before moving north to study chiropractic. After graduating from the New Zealand College of Chiropractic in 2020, I moved back to the South Island to practice before making the move north again to join the Tui Chiropractic team.

My chiropractic journey started during my teenage years after facing some personal health challenges. I noticed considerable changes in my health and sporting ability while under chiropractic care leading to me choosing a career in chiropractic.

I love seeing both adults and children thrive under chiropractic care and helping all family members get the most out of life. I am excited to be able to join people on their journey to better health and wellbeing.

I live a pretty active lifestyle, after work or on the weekend you’ll often find me out exploring the surrounding areas or down at the local netball courts.

Chiropractor

I grew up in Auckland and enrolled in first year biomedical sciences after graduating high-school, but quickly realised this was not my passion. After a break, including some time waitressing, I found my calling to study chiropractic.

While many in chiropractic have personal miracle stories, my equivalent was being drawn to the profession’s values and community focus at the College’s Open Day. I felt at home and immediately knew this would be my passion.

Joining Tui is an exciting opportunity to help people embrace and trust their bodies. I am grateful and thrilled to be part of a team making a difference in the Whangarei community.

Outside of practice I will be in the gym, making jewellery or trying to stand up on a surfboard. I believe chiropractic care can benefit everyone and I look forward to helping others thrive!

New to the team, I was born and bred in Auckland and made Nursing my career for 30 years with mainly emergency experience in both paediatrics and adults. But needing a change of pace I finally made the move permanently to Northland 2 years ago.

I decided to take a break from Nursing and now work a couple of part time jobs which includes running my own First Aid and CPR business as I am a qualified CPR instructor. I also do a bit of rental management and temp administration for a Storage company.

My interests include gardening and growing my own vegetables then using the produce to experiment with different recipes. I am also a keen Gym member.
